Creating Start-Up Floppies for Your PC

If your computer's internal hard drive breaks or becomes corrupted you may need to start (boot) it from a floppy disk. Of course, it's important to create these disks BEFORE there's trouble!

To create startup disk(s) for Windows 95/98:

Start your computer and put a disk in your floppy drive.
Right-click the My Computer icon on your desktop.
Left-click on Open.
Right-click on the floppy drive icon.
Left-click on Format.
Left-click on Copy System Files Only.
Left-click on Start.

Label, and store system disks together in a safe place.
